There is an experience called polar memory, and there is a feeling called the Antarctic spirit. On January 26, on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of China's Antarctic scientific research, China Construction Integrated held a theme lecture of "Forging ahead in China's Antarctic Expedition", inviting Wei Wenliang, winner of the China Navigation Lifetime Contribution Award and former Party Secretary and Deputy director of the Polar Expedition Office of the State Oceanic Administration, to tell the story of polar scientific research for the company's majority of cadres and employees. 

The presentation was conducted in a combination of offline and online, senior managers and above of the company's headquarters department, team members of the unit, deputy and above of the department, and project team members participated.

At the lecture, DR. Wei  combined with personal experience and feelings, in rigorous and plain language, deeply and simply told about the discovery of the Antarctic continent and its natural environmental conditions, the course of China's Antarctic scientific research and its strategic significance, the experience and feelings of Antarctic scientific research and the results achieved in Antarctic scientific research, and profoundly interpreted the Antarctic spirit of "patriotism, trust-seeking, innovation and hard work" to everyone. He said that the polar scientific expedition is very difficult, and the Antarctic expedition trip made him deeply appreciate the heroism of the Chinese scientific expedition members who are not afraid of danger, sacrifice and dedication, and the collective spirit of abiding by discipline, unity and concerted efforts. The down-to-earth, meticulous and serious spirit of seeking scientific knowledge and the patriotic spirit of working hard to revitalize the Chinese nation deserve to be vigorously promoted. He encouraged everyone to inherit and carry forward the Antarctic spirit, continuously improve their independent scientific and technological innovation capabilities, and write a new chapter for the development of the polar cause in the new era. In the interactive session, everyone was enthusiastic, actively asked questions, and Wei Lao answered them seriously. The atmosphere was warm.
