On July 8th, the final of the first China State Construction Technology Design Competition — "Technology + Quality Homes" — was held in Beijing. The competition aimed to implement the spirit of the 18th National Congress of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions, to widely carry out labor and skill competitions, to play the role of the trade union as a bridge and link, and to actively implement the "One Six Six" strategic path of the China State Construction Group. It aimed to strengthen the leading advantage in design, to fully implement the requirements of the China State Construction Technology Design Work Conference, to build a platform for design talents to improve and showcase their professional abilities, to inspire design talents to take the lead, and to promote the differentiated high-quality development of the company's design business.
The competition was jointly organized by the company's trade union and research institute. It started in April 2024 and focused on the construction of livable, smart, and resilient cities with the theme "Technology + Quality Homes," adhering to the design principles of "green, low-carbon, intelligent, and safe." After preliminary evaluation by departments such as the company's technology, construction, business, and technical departments, 32 design works and 19 beautiful rural residence plans made it to the final round. At the final event, after listening to the presentations, the judges evaluated the designs in four aspects: quality home elements, product evaluation, innovation evaluation, and effectiveness evaluation. In the end, the competition awarded 1 outstanding organization prize, 10 excellent works prizes, and 6 beautiful rural residence plans, including 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, and 3 third prizes.
The final of the first China State Construction Technology Design Competition — "Technology + Quality Homes" — was held in Beijing on July 8th. Key figures from the company's trade union office, research institute, and technology department, along with representatives from the human resources, construction, business, and technical departments, participated in the final review. Design teams that made it to the finals presented their work in the main venue and via video conference rooms.
