China Construction Integrated recently succeeded in hoisting the first module for the Fengtai District Flash Classroom Construction Project, marking a new phase in the project. Modular construction will be used to build flash classrooms for three schools: Capital University of Economics and Business Affiliated Primary School, Beijing No.18 High School Affiliated Primary School, and Capital Normal University Affiliated Lize Middle School.
The project uses steel-structure modular construction technology (SMC). While on-site foundation work is underway, modules are simultaneously produced in the factory. This method not only shortens the construction period but also saves about 60% of water and electricity usage on-site and reduces construction waste by approximately 50%.
The project is expected to use 129 modules with a total floor area of about 4,211 square meters, adding 28 classrooms. Upon completion, it will provide over 1,120 seats, effectively meeting Fengtai District’s recent seat - demand increase, ensuring rational education resource allocation, and supporting the development of a strong educational nation.
